Scientific Wellness is a major focus of the lab and leverages PD3 clouds to quantify and define wellness and identify deviations from well states toward disease and asserts that biology is an informational science. Scientific Wellness embodies the personalization of health and is related to P4 Healthcare, which focuses on the clinical delivery of scientific wellness concepts. All of us are unique due to the interactions between our genetics (relatively static) and our environment (relatively dynamic), which includes lifestyle choices. These interactions are manifested in the dynamics of molecular, biochemical and physiological networks and contribute to homeostatic maintenance of health or divergence toward disease. Conceptually, longitudinal studies using high dimensional data (e.g. genetics, metabolomics, proteomics, microbiomics) can deeply evaluate individual phenotypes to define healthy and identify prodromal deviations from health, well in advance of clinical symptoms. This work is fostering the invention new analytical approaches, new concepts in health and data space, and discovering new insights into human biology.
